The donation process:
Step 1: Mini Physical
It starts with a brief interview about your health, travel, and medicines.
Then we check your pulse, blood pressure, temperature, and your hemoglobin is checked.
Step 2: Donate blood
Roll up your sleeve, feel a brief pinch and in fifteen minutes or less the entire donation process is over.
Step 3: Sit back and relax
Relax for a few minutes with juice, ice cream, and snacks. .
How often can I donate?
Because your body starts to replace the blood you have given immediately after you donate, it is safe for you to donate every eight weeks, or up to five times a year. Blood has a storage life of only six weeks, so it's important for the hospital to have regular donations to ensure an adequate supply.
