"The Nation's Idol" Guidelines
The Remy Report reviews all videos before they are posted to insure they contain appropriate content.
“The Nation’s Idol” only posts videos that are consistent with the intent of “The Nation’s Idol.”
“The Nation’s Idol” is not for:
- Pornography or sexually explicit content.
- Animal abuse, drug abuse, or bomb making.
- Graphic or gratuitous violence.
- Accidents and related similar things.
Content is deemed to be inappropriate by the sole and absolute discretion of The Remy Report.
Terms of Use
Nation's Idol (the "Promotion") - 2008 Official Rules and Regulations.
1. HOW IT WORKS: Contest entrants must create an original video clip singing a song of their choice. The song choosen can be any choice of the contestants as long as it conforms to the contest rules.
2. HOW TO SUBMIT A VIDEO CLIP: Entrants may enter online by visiting
theremyreport.com and following the on-screen instructions to enter.
3. VIDEO CLIP REQUIREMENTS: There is no purchase necessary to enter. Clips submitted online must be the original work of the submitter, may not have been previously published, may not have won previous awards, and must not infringe upon the copyrights, trademarks, rights of privacy, publicity or other intellectual property or other rights of any person or entity. If the video contains any material or elements that are not owned by the submitter and/or which are subject to the rights of third parties, the submitter is responsible for obtaining, prior to submission of the clip, any and all releases and consents necessary to permit the use and exhibition of submission by The Remy Report in the manner set forth in these terms, including, without limitation, name and likeness permissions from any person who appears in or is identifiable in the clip. If any identifiable person appearing in the video is under the age of majority in his/her state of residence, the parent or legal guardian is required to provide permission. The Remy Report reserves the right to request proof of these permissions in a form acceptable to The Remy Report from any submitter at any time. By submitting a video, submitter warrants and represents that he/she and any persons appearing or who are identifiable in the video consent to its posting on
theremyreport.com and any other use at The Remy Report's sole discretion. Entries must not contain obscene or pornographic material; may not contain defamatory statements; may not invade privacy or other rights of any person, firm or entity; may not in any other way violate applicable laws and regulations; and may not violate any copyrights. Entries containing prohibited or inappropriate content as determined by the The Remy Report, in its sole discretion, will not be eligible for entry. The Remy Report makes the final determination as to which Entries are eligible. Submission of an Entry grants The Remy Report and its agents the unconditional right to publish, use, adapt, edit and/or modify such Entry in any way, in any and all media, without limitation, and without consideration to the Entrant, whether or not such Entry is selected as a winning Entry. Entries not following these requirements will be considered void and will not be considered in this Promotion.
Submissions must comply with the following content guidelines to be eligible:
Content cannot be sexually explicit or suggestive, violent or derogatory of any ethnic, racial, gender, religious, professional or age group, profane or pornographic, or contain nudity; Content cannot include or promote alcohol, illegal drugs, tobacco, firearms/weapons (or the use of any of the aforementioned), any activities that may appear unsafe or dangerous, or any particular political agenda or message; Content cannot be obscene or offensive or endorse any form of hate or hate group; Content cannot defame, misrepresent or contain disparaging remarks about The Remy Report or other products, people or companies; Content cannot contain trademarks, logos or trade dress (such as distinctive packaging or building exteriors/interiors) owned by others, or advertise or promote any brand or product of any kind, without permission, or contain any personal identification, such as license plate numbers, personal names, e-mail addresses or street addresses; Content cannot contain copyrighted materials owned by others (including photographs, sculptures, paintings and other works of art or images published on or in websites, television, movies or other media) without permission; Content cannot contain materials embodying the names, likenesses, photographs, or other indicia identifying any person, living or dead, without permission; Content cannot communicate messages or images inconsistent with the positive images and/or goodwill to which The Remy Report wishes to associate; and Content cannot depict and cannot itself be in violation of any law or otherwise.
The Remy Report reserves the right to remove or disqualify any submission for any reason, in its sole and absolute discretion.
By submitting a video, submitter hereby grants permission (without limiting any other rights granted hereunder) for his/her video to be posted on
theremyreport.com for viewing by visitors to the web site and any other use at The Remy Report’s discretion. In addition to a submitter's video, theremyreport.com reserves the right to post sample videos on
theremyreport.com that it has created in connection with the program that will enable a submitter to get an idea as to the nature of submissions The Remy Report is seeking. These sample videos will not be included in the video review. The Remy Report is not responsible for any unauthorized third party use of any video. The Remy Report does not guarantee the posting of any video.
4. SELECTION OF WINNERS: Entries will be chosen by
theremyreport.com as winners every month. Winners’ videos will be showcased on
theremyreport.com.
The final selection of winners is the sole and absolute discretion of the The Remy Report.
PRIZES:
The prizes are not specified and will be determined by the The Remy Report. Prizes will be chosen based on a common theme and is at the discretion of theremyreport.com. Prizes can be added and changed by the The Remy Report throughout the promotional period.
OTHER PRIZES:
In order to maximize participation, during the course of the Promotion Period, the The Remy Report may award prizes to groups of entrants other than the winners. Any such Subcontest shall be announced on
theremyreport.com on the day of such Subcontest. Subcontest prizes are awarded at the sole discretion of The Remy Report. Such prizes may also be subject to additional terms and conditions.
No cash or other substitution may be made, except by the The Remy Report, who reserves the right to substitute a prize in whole or in part with another prize of comparable or greater value if the intended prize is not available for any reason as determined by the The Remy Report in its sole discretion.
If for any reason the Promotion is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Promotion, The Remy Report reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who is responsible or who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, modify or terminate the Promotion or any part of the Promotion.
LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY AND RELEASE: No liability or responsibility is assumed by The Remy Report or CrystalVision, LLC resulting from any user's participation in or attempt to participate in the Promotion or ability or inability to upload or download any information in connection with participating in the Promotion. No responsibility or liability is assumed by the The Remy Report or CrystalVision, LLC for technical problems or technical malfunction arising in connection with any of the following occurrences which may affect the operation of the Promotion: hardware or software errors; faulty computer, telephone, cable, satellite, network, electronic, wireless or Internet connectivity or other online communication problems; errors or limitations of any Internet service providers, servers, hosts or providers; garbled, jumbled or faulty data transmissions; failure of any e-mail transmissions to be sent or received; lost, late, delayed or intercepted e-mail transmissions; inaccessibility of the Web Site in whole or in part for any reason; traffic congestion on the Internet or the Web Site; unauthorized human or non-human intervention of the operation of the Promotion, including without limitation, unauthorized tampering, hacking, theft, virus, bugs, worms; or destruction of any aspect of the Promotion, or loss, miscount, misdirection, inaccessibility or unavailability of an email account used in connection with the Promotion. The Remy Report and CrystalVision, LLC are not responsible for any typographical errors in the announcement of prizes or these Official Rules, or any inaccurate or incorrect data contained on the Web Site. Use of Web Site is at user's own risk. The Remy Report and the Promotion Parties are not responsible for any personal injury or property damage or losses of any kind which may be sustained to user's or any other person's computer equipment resulting from participation in the Promotion, use of the Web Site or the download of any information from the Web Site. By participating in the Promotion, Entrant agrees to release and hold The Remy Report and Promotion Parties harmless from any and all claims, damages or liabilities arising from or relating to such Entrant's participation in the Promotion. By accepting a prize in the Promotion, winners agree that the The Remy Report and Promotion Parties shall not be liable for any loss or injury resulting from participation in the Promotion, acceptance or use of any prize.
